The cutting edge portion of a broken dark green jade polished celt, measuring 63 mm/2.5 ins. in length, possibly half of the original implement. The cutting edge entire and the broken butt possibly reworked in antiquity. An old collectors label and a worn indistinct white ink inscription on one side, dating from Mesoamerica's Formative period,c. 1st-2nd Millennium B.C. and possibly Olmec.
