Description: A small shallow dish in Bichrome Ware with two extended pierced lug handles. The underside decorated with concentric red lines and bands, and the lug handles coloured red. Some thin earthy encrustation, particularly to the interior of the bowl, minor surface wear and a chip to one handle, otherwise condition good.
Size: 98 mm/3.8 ins. in diameter (measured across the handles)
Date: Iron Age, Cypro-Archaic, c. 750-475 B.C.
Provenance: Ex West Sussex private collection.
Notes: Some twisted wire through one of the pierced handles. This would have originally held a lead seal relating to the export licence.
