Description: A good-sized Acheulian orange brown quartzite bifacially flaked triangular handaxe with irregular patches of pale brown cortex remaining on both faces and a flat cortex covered fracture forming the butt. The handaxe has a dull patina. A few small edge chips, otherwise condition good and a nice example. From Pasly, near Soissons, Aisne, northern France.
