Description; A black glazed guttus with loop handle, tall funnel spout and the central disk moulded with a figure sitting on a stool. The black glaze worn on one side, a few scratches and small chips, and the sitting figure lacking detail, but overall condition good, Greek South Italian colonies.
Size: 92 mm/3.6 ins. high and 90 mm/3.5 ins. in diameter (excluding handle)

Provenance: From the estate of a deceased London collector.
Background: The collector, who worked as a buyer for Fortnum and Mason, Piccadilly, London, built up a fine collection of coins and antiquities purchased from leading London dealers.
