VIEWING - We are a mail order business only and have no retail premises. We try to provide good quality multiple photographs for all items on the website, which can be enlarged through a zoom facility. However, potential buyers wishing to see other views of objects should let us know their requirements. We will then take additional photographs and email them to you. There may be a small delay between despatch of additional photographs and the original request due to processing.
BUYING - We sell on a first-come, first-served basis and you are welcome to email or telephone to ensure that your chosen item is available. On confirmation, payment should follow immediately, as we can reserve an item for only four days. We only have one of each item offered, unless otherwise stated. All orders will be acknowledged by email. We reserve the right to decline orders that we believe are not made in good faith. The price shown includes all taxes (if applicable) and the only additional cost will be for postage as detailed below (see Delivery).
PAYMENT - Currently, you may pay by credit or debit card, bank transfer, or PayPal (but not for items of Iranian origin). We offer secure online credit/debit card payment through SagePay/Opayo. Customers wishing to pay by bank transfer should contact us for our account details. If you wish to pay by PayPal please request a PayPal invoice by email or through our online contact form on our 'Contact' page. Please note we do not accept payment by cheque.
DELIVERY - No item can be dispatched until full payment has been received. Postage and insurance are charged extra. A choice of postage options depending on parcel size, weight and value are offered at the Checkout:
1) Royal Mail 'Special Delivery' (for small items under 2 kg) - £8 extra
2) Parcelforce (for oversize items and/or over 2 kg) - £12 extra
For most items the Special Delivery option will suffice.
All customers undertake that they are able to sign for in person on delivery, or collect in person from local Post Offices packages sent by Ancient Relics - Antiquities Online.
All items are carefully packed to avoid damage in transit and the stages of packing photographed. We aim to send all orders within 3 working days of receipt of cleared payment. Exceptions will occur i) if an export licence is required (despatch will be after this has been issued but this can take up to 4 weeks), ii) due to unforeseen circumstances and force majeure. If there are any problems relating to dispatch or item availability, the Buyer will be informed as soon as possible, and all reasonable steps will be taken, including a full refund where appropriate.

Of course, our return period on grounds of authenticity is not time-limited. We take great care to pack our items to ensure safe delivery without damage.
