Description: A mottled dark gray flint tranchet axe with an attractive glossy patina and with an area of cortex remaining near the butt on one side. Some iron staining and a few inoffensive chips to the cutting edge and a large ancient chip to the butt, otherwise condition good and a nice example. Find locality not known but probably a British find.
