Description: A mottled grey flint borer, made from an irregular thick flake with a small patch of cortex remaining on one side, and retouched on one side. The implement attached by tape (now loose) to an annotated card. The card foxed with some darker blotchy stains. Found at Bury Hill, near Dorking, Surrey, on 10th February 1932.

Size: Borer 48 mm/1.9 ins. in length, annotated card, 60 x 91 mm/2.4 x 3.6 ins.

Culture: Neolithic

Date: c. 3rd Millennium B.C.

A nice example of the careful recording of even minor artefacts by early 20th Century collectors.
