Description: A good-sized mottled dark grey flint endscraper or knife fashioned from a large flake. The implement was attached by tape (now broken) to an annotated card. The card foxed and with a corner tear. Found at Folkestone, Kent.
Size: Tool 66 mm/2.6 ins. in length, annotated card, 60 x 92 mm/2.4 x 3.6 ins.
Culture: Neolithic
Date: c. 3rd Millennium B.C.
A nice example of the careful recording of minor artefacts by early 20th Century collectors.
