Description: A good-sized subcircular gray flint scraper with clear retouching on the edge, attached by cord to an annotated card. The card foxed and creased in places, with a partial tear below the scraper. Found at Hougham, near Dover, Kent, in 1928.

Size: Scraper 55 x 60 mm/2.1 x 2.4 ins., annotated card 60 x 90 mm/2.4 x 3.6 ins.

Culture: Neolithic

Date: c. 3rd Millennium B.C.

A nice example of the careful recording of even the humblest artefacts by early 20th Century collectors.
