Description: A motted grey flint round scraper, retouched around most of the margin, attached by cord to an annotated card. The card foxed and curled with an oblique partial tear towards one corner. Found at Hougham, near Folkestone, Kent, in 1929.

Size: Scraper 42 x 41 mm/1.6 x 1.6 ins., annotated card, 60 x 91 mm/2.4 x 3.6 ins.

Culture: Neolithic

Date: c. 3rd Millennium B.C.

A nice example of the careful recording of even the humblest artefacts by early 20th Century collectors.
