Description: A grey flint scraper with blue-white patination attached by cord to an annotated card. The card foxed and with an area of darker staining and one corner torn. Found at Shackleford, near Godalming, Surrey, on 8th March 1928.

Size: Scraper 52 x 53 mm/2 x 2 ins., annotated card,  60 x 92 mm/2.4 x 3.6 ins.

Culture: Neolithic

Date: c. 3rd Millennium B.C.

Notes: Described as an angular graver of rare type on the card.

A nice example of the careful recording of even the humblest artefacts by early 20th Century collectors.
