Description: A dark gray flint sidescraper retouched along both long sides and with a large area of cortex remaining. The scraper attached by cord to an annotated card. The card foxed and curled, with some minor edge tears and creases. Found at Hougham, near Folkestone, Kent, in 1928.

Size: Scraper 70 x 45 mm/2.7 x 1.8 ins., annotated card, 60 x 91 mm/2.4 x 3.6 ins.

Culture: Neolithic

Date: c. 3rd Millennium B.C.

A nice example of the careful recording of even the humblest artefacts by early 20th Century collectors.
