Description: A wooden mummy head with facial features carved in high relief and with a flattened raised forehead, the face painted red with the remains of inset shell eyes and pupils. The top of the head worn and age-related cracking of the surface, but stable, with a darker stain below the right eye, but a nice example with considerable presence. From the central Peruvian coastal area and reputedly found near Huarmey.
