Description: A grey flint scraper with steep retouch and a large area of cortex remaining, attached by cord to an annotated card. The card foxed and curled with some blotchy darker stains and some edge tears. Found at Puttenham, near Guildford, Surrey, on 1st February 1929.

Size: Scraper 48 x 34 mm/1.9 x 1.3 ins., annotated card, 60 x 91 mm/2.4 x 3.6 ins.

Culture: Neolithic

Date: c. 3rd Millennium B.C.

A nice example of the careful recording of even the humblest artefacts by early 20th Century collectors.
