Description: A fawn terracotta head from a figurine with double-pierced eyes and a striated pattern on the neck and wearing a simple cap-like headdress. Overall surface wear, chips to the headdress and back of the head, overwise condition good. Probably from Syria.

Size: 50 mm/2 ins. high (90 mm/3.5 ins. high including base)

Culture: Near East, Bronze Age

Date: c. 2nd Millennium B.C.

Provenance: Ex old English private collection.

Mounted on a dark wood base.
