Description: A large reddish-brown terracotta oil lamp with thumb spur handle and the sloping shoulder decorated with diagonal striations. A stylised bird moulded in low relief between the filler and wick holes (unusual). Relatively crudely styled as is typical of the type. A chip to the handle, an edge chip and some surface wear and discolouration, otherwise condition good.
