Description: A heavy dark grey flint pointed handaxe with mottled light to dark grey patination. Some cortex remaining on one side, some minor more recent edge chips and some possible damage and reworking of the cutting edge below the point on one side, otherwise condition good and an example of unusually thick form, found in Norfolk.

Size: 138 mm/5.4 ins. in length

Culture: Lower Palaeolithic

Date: c. 300,000-500,000 years B.P.
