Description: A socketed and side-looped bronze spearhead, the blade with a pronounced midrib and the loops located half-way up the socket. Some chips to the socket aperture, a minute chip to the point, some very minor edge corrosion, and some pitting particularly on one side, but a very nice example of the type with a uniform dark brown patina. Locality of find not known but British.

Date: c. 1500-1150 B.C.

Provenance: Ex Essex private collection.

Notes: The side loops may have been used to attach the spearhead to the wooden shaft or possibly to attach streamers or other kind of decoration.
