An Egyptian pale blue glazed faience ushabti, 600-30 B.C.

Description: A pale blue glazed faience ushabti comprising a mummiform figure with large head wearing a tripartite wig and with the hands modelled above the waist holding a pick and hoe moulded in relief. The figure with a flattened back but with back pillar and pronounced buttocks. Broken at the knees with the lower legs and base missing, some patchy wear to the glaze particularly on the back, but a well-modelled and attractive example.
