Description: A green faience ushabti, mould-made mummiform figure with striated tripartite wig, long beard, and with hands crossed on chest holding mattock and hoe, a seed bag suspended from cord over the left shoulder. Flat backed with the back pillar merging into the wig and the trapezoid base, the feet small. Some minor abrasion, particularly to the hands and face, and the head slightly tilted to one side.

Provenance: From the collection of Julian Bird (1959-2014) and acquired from Alex Szolin of Ancient and Oriental, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, in 2005.
