Description: A group of three terracotta bullae (pottery document seals for papyrus scrolls), all showing either a male or female bust from impressed seals, including a depiction of a male bearded head wearing a wreath. Some minor wear, but nice examples.

Size: The bullae 17-23 mm/0.7-0.9 in. across

Date: c. 2nd - 3rd Century A.D.

Provenance: Ex Dr Geoffrey A. Smith Collection, San Diego, California, acquired before 1978.
